It’s a special year. Here’s what’s happening!

Highlights from the gathering at Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Over 250 manufacturers, partners, supporters and friends gathered on May 3, 2018 for an evening of networking, storytelling, live screen printing, and sampling locally-made foods and beverages.

We were joined by City Council Members Espinal, Menchaca, Reynoso, and Rosenthal, and heard remarks from Senator Gillibrand and Congressman Nadler who voiced their enthusiastic support for local manufacturing. We also heard from four Made In NYC manufacturers who shared about their business successes and challenges.

In addition, guests had the opportunity to record their personal narratives of manufacturing as part of an oral history pop-up, browse an exhibition of photographs featuring the “faces and places” of the contemporary manufacturing industry, choose from among several designs to be stamped on tote bags onsite as part of a live screen printing demonstration, bid on a variety of silent auction items donated by MINYC members, and take in the spectacular view of the Brooklyn Navy Yard campus and lower Manhattan from the 15th floor terrace.
