Ojala Threads reclaims indigenous stories. We make them accessible via contemporary designs that change the narrative surrounding Hispanics in America.
We make premium culturally resonant baby bodysuits, as they most easily facilitate inter-generational connections. We handprint these in the South Bronx, using non- toxic water-based ink, and wrap each with a poem written by our founder. We now offer gift items for all members of the family. But nothing beats enveloping a baby in their legacy.
As a social enterprise we prioritize doing good. Our sales support community advocacy efforts in the South Bronx focused on public housing, public transportation and criminal justice reform. We also designate a percentage of our sales to support organizations tackling social and environmental equity globally.
