Winona Barton-Ballentine

Winona Barton-Ballentine (she/her) is a photographic artist and business owner based in the Hudson Valley, where she has been photographing people and places since 2014. She received a BA and an MFA in photography from Bard College. In addition to working with artists to design books and curate exhibitions, she currently runs a home and lifestyle photography business in the Catskills called Shelter Upstate that provides creative direction, styling and photography services to editorial, design, architectural and real estate clients in the Hudson Valley and New York City regions. Prior to moving to Hudson Valley, she lived in New York City where she taught photography and design, produced and edited photo shoots, and managed a non-profit lens based galley. Her photographic clients include Architectural Digest, Dwell, Martha Stewart Living, and The New York Times.
