Her creations span a fascinating range, from jewelry incorporating real DNA to streetwear featuring scientific images and geopolitical data.
Elaine believes that fashion can be a powerful tool for communication, attracting people to ideas they may not actively seek out in their everyday lives. She shares, “You can engage a lot more people by attracting them to information instead of ‘talking at them’.”
Being an AAPI business owner holds deep significance for Elaine as a constant reminder of the fascinating stories of migration, the paths that led us to where we are today, and the quest for happiness woven into our ancestors’ histories.
