In Style USA

Manhattan

In Style USA is a one-stop shop, cut-and-sew garment manufacturer that assists designers with anything under the production spectrum, from sampling to quality control. They offer product development, pattern making, sampling, and full production. The company was founded by Tina Yu, who started her career in Hong Kong before moving to Toronto, where she worked as an eveningwear designer. Tina moved to New York City to start In Style USA, which has been operating in the Garment District for over 30 years.

The company has worked with big names including Calvin Klein, Alice and Olivia, Halston, Lela Rose, Kith, Ralph Lauren, Theory, and Helmut Lang, and during the early days of the pandemic, In Style USA worked with the charity Fashion Girls for Humanity to create PPE gowns for hospital workers, as well as masks for various designers.

They are proud to be based in the Garment District, “the capital to the start of fashion.” They chose to locate the company in the Garment District as they thought it “was best to be alongside the best in the industry.” Another benefit for In Style USA being in the Garment District is the plethora of resources available and the support offered by other businesses when in need — if they happen to be running low on a fabric or trim, any addition to the garment can be purchased a block away.
